All-American Bike Rally
June 03, 2017

The Amateur Radio Club of Parker County is again this tyear supporting the 8th Annual All American Bicycle Rally set for Saturday, June 3, 2017!  Last year they had close to 200 riders and everyone enjoyed a great ride and a delicious BBQ sandwich meal immediately following the race.  We are anticipating an even bigger event for 2017!

ARRL Field Day

2017 ARRL Field Day
June 24-25, 2017
ARRL Field Day is the most popular on-the-air event held annually in the US and Canada. On the fourth weekend of June, more than 35,000 radio amateurs gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to operate from remote locations.

Field Day Location:
Parking Lot of Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, 2251 Bethel Road, Weatherford, Texas 76086

The objective of Field Day is for radio operators to work as many stations as possible on any and all amateur bands (excluding the 60, 30, 17, and 12-meter bands) and to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions.

Field Day is open to all amateurs in the areas covered by the ARRL/RAC Field Organizations and countries within IARU Region 2. DX stations residing in other regions may be contacted for credit, but are not eligible to submit entries.

From all the hams here at W5PC, a hearty 73!! (best wishes)
