We have a weekly net every Monday at 8pm{ 147.040+ MHz – PL 110.9 We have a second net on Tuesday nights except for the second Tuesday which is our meeting net: 147.040+ MHz – PL 110.9<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monthly Meeting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We generally meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. See the event on the calendar for more details <\/a>about time and location. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amateur Radio Technician Class License<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our next Amateur Radio Techcician class to prepare of the FCC testing will be held on two consecutive Saturdays in November from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The dates are November 7 & 14. The test will be held at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th of November. Testing for General and Extra Class will be available as well. There is no charge for the training; however, you will need to purchase an ARRL Ham Radio License Manual 6th Edition. The book may be purchased on Amazon by searching for Ham Raio License Manual 5th Edition or from ARRL @https:\/\/home.arrl.org\/action\/Shop\/Store<\/a>. Limited copies may be available for purchase at the time of training. Training will take place at the Parker County Office of Emergency Services loacatd at 215 Trinity Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To sighn up for the class, please check back in September. The class is limited to the first 20 that sign up. Be sure to obtain the needed informaiton and study as indicated after signing up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ARC of Parker County 2026 ARRL Field Day Report<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

ARC of Parker County participated in ARRL Field Day Event held 06.27.2026. Approximately 11 members of the club along with additional radio operators attended the event. The event was held at the Brock-Dennis Fire Station #2 in Weatherford, Texas. A total of 403 contacts were made for a total of1,916 Score Points. Contacts in 70 of the 86 ARRL Sections. 390 contacts were made in the mainland with an additonal 7 in Canada, 2 in Pureto Rico, 1 in Austalia, 1 in Hawaii, 1 in Venezuela and 1 in the Rebublic of Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parker County CERT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Parker County CERT will be holding training to become a Parker County member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). For more information, contact the Parker County Office of Emergency Management at 817-588-0969, by Email @ pccert@parkercountytx.com or their website @ https:\/\/www.parkercountytx.gov\/121\/CERT<\/a>. Members of the Parker County Amatuer Radio club are encourged to participate in the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
