Jack Nixon – President, KG5BBW:

James Chambers – Vice President,KE5LFN:

Education:  B.S. Electronics/Electrical Engineer

James, aka Professor Electiric has worked in various industry aspects of engineering from electronics manufacturing, avionics (fixed & rotary wing), oil & gas production, robotics & automation, mechatronics tinkering and throughout these past 30-years, as an engineering instructor/professor in these same industry disciplines, at a local college.

James was introduced to Ham radio as a young boy when a close friend’s father took the two, to a club morse-code session.  Listening to the code letters and hearing the callouts: KILO, ECHO, LIMA.  It was at the time confusing to him, leaving him uninterested to pursue further at that time.  During his career, a colleague challenged him to take the Technician test with a local NTX club.  James did, and just barely passed (he was never good at taking written test) and received his license.  He has held that license for the past 17-years.

He still did nothing else with his license until he moved from Fort Worth to his lifetime rural location between Springtown and Jacksboro.  He learned of the ARCPC and decided to become more involved with the club and to learn how to be more prepared for disaster situations.  He also wished to expand knowledge of the practices and responsibility to community support in times of such emergencies.

So here he is again, Vice President of the ARCPC for a fourth year.  His first three consecutive terms served during the time of COVID era lockdowns.

Through what he has learned during his time working with others at ARCPC, James has developed a motto:

“If you are going to be involved with a group of like minded people:

YOU CAN’T SIT AROUND AND EXPECT IT TO HAPPEN, YOU JUST DO IT!”

James appreciates the opportunity to serve his fellow club members and  the community at large.

Pam Sanderson – Secretary/Treasurer, K7JYZ

I first got my license in 2020 at the start of the pandemic and got my General Class in August 2021. I’ve been involved in amateur radio with a focus on contributing to the community by supporting communications at local parades and food drives in Southern Washington using my Yaesu FT-60. Field Day is a favorite using my Icom 7100 and enjoy the camaraderie and challenge of operating in the field.   Pam Sanderson
